Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria says he's a better player for working with Jose Mourinho.

Di Maria penned a new deal with Real this month.

"With the coach I've grown in every way. I'm better tactically and I have more faith in the things I do. The trust he has shown in me since the first day is spectacular and I only have words of gratitude for him," the winger told Marca.

"There is no doubt that Mourinho is a coach very special to me. With him I have improved each year and it pains me that because of injuries last season I could not give more."

Suker excited seeing Tottenham's Modric make Real Madrid move

Real Madrid legend Davor Suker is eager to see a deal done for Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric.

Marcelo resumes Real Madrid training

The left-back missed the Spanish champions' pre-season tour of the USA because of his obligations with Br azil's Under-23 team in London, but is back in his club side's reckoning.

Real Madrid have welcomed Marcelo back into their squad, after the defender returned from representing Br azil at the Olympic Games in London.

Jose Mourinho believes he should be labelled the “Only one” instead of the “Special One”, after becoming the only coach to win the so-called top three European Leagues.

Speaking to Portuguese television channel SIC on Monday, Mourinho explained that as his managerial career has progressed, he has become less selfish and less focused on individual goals.

"Things have been going well for me, thank God. I am focused on others much more these days. The pleasure of winning with Inter was seeing a club, which had not won for 50 years, winning again.

That is what entices me more and more, instead of pursuing individual goals." He said.

He won La Liga last season with current club Real Madrid, he won Serie A twice with Inter, the Premier League twice with Chelsea and the Portuguese Liga twice with Porto. On top of all that, he also won the Champions League with both Porto and Inter.

"Like me or not, I am the only one who won the world's three most important leagues. So, maybe instead of the 'Special One', people should start calling me the 'Only One'," Mourinho said in an interview that aired on Monday.

The Real Madrid boss was nicknamed “The Special One” during his time in England after calling himself just that during a press conference following his switch from Porto to the Blues in 2004.

Sahin set to leave Real Madrid

The Turkey international moved to the Spanish capital from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2011, but failed to live up to the high expectations at the Santiago Bernabeu, partially due to injuries.

Madrid coach Jose Mourinho recently stated that the 23-year-old will be allowed to leave the club this summer, and he has since been linked with clubs such as Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.

Sahin has featured regularly during Madrid's pre-season tour in the USA, but has been restricted to appearances at left-back rather than in his preferred position of holding midfielder as Mourinho prefers the likes of Lassana Diarra, Esteban Granero, Xabi Alonso and Sami Khedira.

Therefore, the former BVB star has now accepted that his future lies away from Madrid, and Sahin's agent has been busy to try and orchestrate a move to the Premier League, which could be wrapped up shortly.

Real Madrid has reached an agreement with the winger, Angel Di Maria, to renew his contract for six more years, keeping him at the club until the end of season 2017/2018.
