Real Madrid is the final phase of negotiations to extend the contract of striker Gonzalo Higuain. The current contract with the Spanish champions Argentine expires in 2016, but los blanc has offered renewal until 2018.
24 year old striker currently receives 3.8 million euros per season, and by signing a new contract in his annual salary will go to 4.5 million euros.
Higuain, who joined Real Madrid in January 2007 played 162 games in the league with a white shirt, achieving 91 goals.
